Earning your instrument rating is said by many to be the best thing any pilot
can do. The ability to fly in the clouds is nice but the real value is in
the ability to use the whole aviation system to its full potential. Not to
mention your insurance company will most likely reward you with lower premiums.
At Blue Airways we use a combination of ground instruction, flight simulator time, and actual IFR time in the clouds for our instrument rating course.
The ground instruction includes the use of our computer based prep for the written test, and a preflight briefing and post flight debriefing on each of your flights. KRGK has 4 approach procedures which will avoid having to go somewhere else to practice approaches.
